Nothing beats a real kiwi lake house wedding. That’s exactly the thoughts that Charlie had when she brought Daniel down to her family Bach for the first time.
Daniel slid into Charlie’s Instagram dm’s over her amazing baking skills and how epic the food looked throughout her posts. He obviously wanted some of her famous rocky road….you know what they say, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. It clearly worked out for both of them!
When I read that their favorite ice cream flavours were ‘Anything Dark choc, Toasted Marshmallow by Duck Island’ I knew that they would quickly become more than your typical ‘client’.

I love weddings where couples keep true to themselves on every front, keeping their wedding as real and on point to their personalities. That's exactly what Jayson & Nicola did. From Jayson breaking out tears at the sight of Nicola and their fur baby Ziggy up the aisle to a sausage sizzle and Waikato's for afternoon 'canapes'. The evening party was as wild and in true form, funnels were drank by everyone!

The next adventure // This has been one of the most beautiful, emotional and exciting weddings I have ever had the pleasure of filming. Nicole and I have been long time close friends since we were in high school. For a long time we have talked about the day she would get married, how that day would look and what kind of guy she would marry. Over the years I've seen Nicole go through some serious heartache through boys that failed to be men, until she met Chad. Chad is a real man, he shows respect to everyone around him, but not only that he puts Nicole first, showing her unconditional love and making her feel appreciated.

Their wedding is extra special to me as a motion story teller, because not only do I get to be there to witness a long time close friend tie the knot; but to capture this day in a way that they made it theirs. I am truly and utterly honoured to have been there. Yes I cried, because finally this day had arrived.

Daniel & Sarah has this rich theme of compassion with their wedding. Everything from the brother of the bride(Jamie; See video below) preaching in the service to their wedding reception venue being a charity restaurant for human trafficking. It was truly something to admire.

Carmen & Jamie had the most amazing wedding in Manly, Sydney. Surrounded by their family and friends they made their day as memorable as possible from the epic ceremony parental prayers to the mid-service sermon making a lot of Disney references. They even had a Brading family tradition ( Jager bombs) and a surprise bridesmaid dance. They made their wedding 100% their own.

Luke & Karli had what I would call, the perfect wedding.
When people think of the perfect wedding, they think expensive dream vendors, epic venue and awesome wedding cake! But what truly makes a perfect wedding.. is the people you surround yourself with. In this case Luke & Karli live overseas but are born and raised in NZ. They met through family friends at a party. It would only make sense for them to have all the people that mean to the world to them to be present at their wedding day including those who introduced them to each other.

Kyle & Rebecca got married on a private property out the back of Rotorua. They spent countless hours and days prepping DIY decor and styling their reception and ceremony the way they wanted it. From the Tee-pee ceremony center piece to the Periodic table style guest list.. It was unique right down to the themed cocktails..some stronger than others..

Shane & Sarah are the ultimate Hobbit and Lord of the Rings super fans! They went all out on making their day their own by decorating her shoes, having the wedding cake design like Smaug on a pile of gold! but most of all by having their wedding at Hobbiton Movie Set in Matamata, New Zealand. As much as this wedding was a movie buff's dream, It was made personal to them by the vows they exchanged and the people around them, Yes the vows had cheeky movie lines in them and quotes on their quest to visiting all the Disneyland's in the world.( only 3 to go) ..but also How they are made for each other.. with all their quirkiness.

Hamish is an Olympic rower and Lizzie has a PhD, clearly they make a perfectly fitting couple. Hamish and Lizzie met while on rowing machines in rehab due to injuries. He took a fancy to her and became her best friend and 7 years later he asked her to marry him.

Matt and Lee got married in a small chapel in Mangawhai, New Zealand. It was a beautiful clear blue sky day with an epic sunset.
Matt proposed to Lee on a hill during a sunrise. He got his guitar out and being the musician that he is..he wrote a song for her and at the end of the song he said 'will you marry me'
